Privacy

Your privacy, in plain language.

Measurement helps us understand where the journey is useful and where it still needs improvement.

Audience measurement

PlaceForMe uses Umami, an audience measurement tool self-hosted on our infrastructure in Switzerland. We use no advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or session replay. Your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal is respected, and URL search parameters and fragments are not collected.

What we measure

  • pages viewed and the language used;
  • questionnaire steps viewed or validated;
  • results, explanations and maps opened;
  • result rank, transport mode and result count;
  • broad budget, room, household and calculation-time categories;
  • the total number of selected services, without recording which ones or their settings.

What we do not send to Umami

  • your workplace name, address or coordinates;
  • your income, wealth, exact budget or exact floor area;
  • your detailed household composition or detailed profile answers;
  • free text, an email address or GPS coordinates.

The municipality name is sent only when you follow an outbound link to Comparis, so we can measure the intent to look for housing there. Comparis then receives the criteria shown in its search link and applies its own privacy policy.

Retention

Every day, audience data older than 90 days is deleted automatically, so practical retention can approach 91 days. If deletion keeps failing, public collection is automatically disabled. Umami accounts, websites and configuration are not affected.
